Beta Testing Plan

This version of the MySQIF™ Privacy App™ is a Beta Testing version. It is being offered to a limited number of select people who have expressed an interest in participating in the testing.

A financial sponsor stepped forward to fund the first year subscription for these Beta Testers. We thank this sponsor for her foresight, support, love, dedication, and unbounding energy.

We ask the testers to start using MySQIF™ even though things may break as you use it. This is to be expected and is normal in software development.

Why?

A software program is the digital version of tens of thousands of gears and pullies that must be fashioned uniquely so that they all fit and mesh. This is what a programmer does. Even the most genius programmer builds a program in stages while continously testing and refining an approach until it works in the desired way. That effort requires much trial and error. Building "straw men" to test out proofs of concept is also a large part of software programming.

With innovative products like MySQIF™ Privacy App™, the continuous testing teaches the designer things that may actually change the approach based on the learnings. All software has limitations. Great design works within those constraints to achieve the desired result. This does not mean that the programmers are unskilled. On the contrary, it means they are professionals who listen to how the emerging product wants to function. This is an essence of good design methodology.

With all this trial and error, many times once a proof of concept works, one moves on to the next element without fully fleshing out the now validated concept. The thinking is that eventually one will have time to get back to it later. Well, in the meantime, life happens, distractions arise, children want to play, and one forgets to get back to the unfinished business until prodded by a Beta Tester!

In addition, software works oncomputer servers. Those servers have many predefined settings that work in general for most things, but often need tweeking with specific applications like MySQIF™. As a number of Beta Testers start using the program, the tweeks needed on the server arise as the number of "concurrent users" increases. This too may "break" things temporarily until they are located and fixed. This is normal.

So, we encourage all our Beta Testers not to panic, grab the children, and go running into the street if they find a bug, or they want a feature we have not yet implemented. We will make a checklist of bugs, new features requested, changes, refinements, enhancements. This list will be continuously updated and priorities set for the ongoing development.

To our intrepid Beta Testers, we ask you to email us at beta@leader.com when you encourter something you want fixed, changed, added, or removed.

At some point the product will be stable enough to take it off the beta testing server and deploy it to mysqif.com.

At the redeployment, you will be asked to create a new account. At that time the e-commerce order taking  payment processor will be fully implemented. For now though, you can invite third parties to Sign Up and use the Beta version with you for free.

Note that we will not accept sign ups at this time from the following social networking theft domains, including but not limited to .gov, .mil, .gov.uk, mod.uk, parliament.uk, .nhs.uk, ibm.com, eclipse.org, dell.com, microsoft.com, oracle.com, goldmansachs.com, chase.com, gd.com, boa.com, wellsfargo.com, bankofamerica, serco.com, qinetiq.com, boeing.com, lockheedmartin.com, bae.com, reuters.com, raytheon.com, accel.com, nvca.org, and many others.
